Executive Summary of the SMGA Local Rules

The SMGA local rules can be summarized as follows:

We play “winter rules” January through March.
We use “gimme” putts inside of 18 inches (it must be measured, so mark your putter).
We have a drop area on hole 24.
We have an optional "Gold Tee Program" for members that are age 72+ with a handicap index of 18 or greater that permits them to play from the Gold Tee box.

We also have the normal local rules to permit distance measuring devices, remove stones from bunkers, relief from fire ant mounds, exposed bunker liners, maintenance fans, etc.
