The Senior Men's Golf Association is a group of about ninety guys that play golf almost every Wednesday morning (@ 8:30 AM Summer or 9:00 AM Winter) at the Hills (also known as the Ranch) golf course in McKinney, Tx.  To join, you must be fifty-five or older (or become 55 in the current calendar year), have golfing privileges on the Hills Golf Course, and pay our $30 annual dues.

During our normal Wednesday play days we have a "closest to the pin" ($2 entry fee) contest and a different, fun, everybody has a chance to win, tournament format every week ($5 entry fee).  The entry fee pool is paid out as prizes in pro shop credit.  You can see the formats by clicking the "Schedule" button at the top of this page.

We play inter-club tournaments with other nearby Clubs, you can see who and when on our "Schedule".  The inter-club tournaments each have a separate entry fee, usually about $40, that pays for prizes, golf and cart, and the meal.  We also have a year-long player-of-the-year contest where points are accumulated by playing (and winning) in SMGA events throughout the year.  We sponsor an annual match play tournament, and end the year with a two day SMGA Championship Tournament followed by a really good banquet (free, the banquet alone is worth the cost of the annual dues!) 

If you would like to join our group, please send an email to our Secretary-Treasurer (see below for contact information), expressing your interest in joining.  He will get the needed information from you and collect your dues.  Then sign up in the SMGA binder in the Hills Pro Shop for the Wednesday tournament.
