I want to thank everyone of our 22 that played in the Interclub Tourney hosted by Heritage Ranch Golf Club today. We did not know if we would finish this tourney after we were pulled off the course due to lightning( a little late I believe) for a very short break. Due to a low turnourt by both clubs, Heritage Ranch opted out of the match team format. This meant all 44 players from both clubs played in the four man two best ball format. The wind and the rain made playing into the cold front a pretty good test. Your scores have been posted by me on the ghin handicap system.

Next week is the SMGA Championship scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday with the banquet on Thursday evening beginning with Happy Hour 6-7 PM. Please make sure you are signed up as soon as possible. You still have the chance to play in the last Interclub Tourney scheduled for Tuesday October 4th at Eldorado CC. Due to PGA qualifying, the member-guest tourney and the Tin Cup, there is going to be very little chance to play in the SMGA. So..... sign up for the Interclub Tourney hosted by Eldorado CC with a deadline by 5 PM October 2nd.

I did not hear what each place earned but congratulations to all the teams. I thank you for letting me serve you this year as your Interclub Chairman. I hope you have enjoyed this part of our great SMGA program. These tourneys add a few more strange faces, some good new contacts, a chance to play competitively on several quality courses in the area, and a good exchange with the different golf and country clubs.
