3-30-11 IC  There were no cases of treated frost bite today so I think it went very well at Hurricane Creek. Thanks for your attendance and I am still wearing my pullover as I write this email update inside my house. My Hot Hands - hand warmer bag is now finally working that I quit playing hours ago. No more complaining because the course was in great condition for early spring. Hurricane Creek hosted this event with pride. I saw some of you including me did much better piling food on your plate than you played. The food again was great at Hurricane Creek.

I apologize we only had the four man best ball tourney but we had too many cancellations to be able to include the match format. Let's hope we get a lot more participants for our next Interclub match. You get participation points for playing and the winners will get points for the player of the year and Tin Cup Team selection later in the year.

I have already posted your ESC adjusted scores in the GHINN system. I will be doing this for all Interclub Tournaments so you do not have to post them for these events. Our next Interclub will be at Prestonwood CC Hills Course on Tuesday April 12 at 8:30 AM. They will have an optional closest to the pin contest you may enter for $2 before the tourney. Prestonwood also has a forward tee program that is different than our Gold Tee Program. Their requirement to qualify for their forward tee(green tees) is a sum of your age plus handicap index equal or greater than 90. Therefore, all of our Gold Tee program for our SMGA qualifies and others less than 72 can qualify if their handicap index satisfies their previously stated requirement. The Gold Tee program players need not notify me but only those who otherwise qualify playing in this Interclub. Please sign up in the Golf Shop in our SMGA Notebook.
