6-2-10 Gentlemen,

It was a great day and great pace of play – under 4 ˝ hours for the entire field. Today, we had 40 players, which worked out for our tournament format. The format was 4-man team Shamble using 1 low net on holes 1-9 and two low net scores on holes 10-18. Net par was 108 with the winning team being 25 under par. Wow! The third place team score was incorrectly announced today as an 88; their score was actually an 87 – sorry for the mistake.

Next week’s Tournament will be a 4-man team, individual low net, using two low net scores on each hole. Don’t forget to sign up.

Next Interclub Tournament – Our next interclub tournament will be at home with Heritage Ranch on Wednesday, June 30. The tournament cost is only $30 and includes lighter fare lunch (full salad bar with choice of soups and baked potato with all the fillings). If you do not use a club cart (walk or have a private cart), the cost is only $15. This is a real bargain. The tournament format will be a combined Match Play and Team play. When signing up, please state you preference of format (M – match play, T – team play, E – either). The match play format is limited to 10 players. If you sign up for match play and do not get to play, you will be given preference for the next interclub tournament. The deadline to sign up for the match play is Sunday, June 27, and for team play is Monday, June 28. Do not dilly-dally around; sign up now!

Hole-in-One Club:

Finally - if you haven’t got into the Hole-in-One club, you may want to consider this option. The cost is only $5 and if you make a Hole-in-One at one of the SMGA tournaments, you get the entire pot. Our last winner was Robert Wantland on Hole # 2 in May and his payout was $370. It is worth a shot and you never know when you will be the lucky one.

Congratulations to all winners.

Regards,

Larry
