6-16-10  The play today ended just when I was on empty due to the heat.  The format today was a 2 man scramble with 20%Team Handicap and each player providing a minimum of six tee shots.  Thanks for everyone participating and it was good to see Jack Bell, Gary Lee and Al Diaz rejoin us again today.  If you ever question a result, please raise the question as soon as possible and we can resolve a discrepancy or confirm the result.  There were two errors today as one team scorecard had to be corrected and a second error was the entry into the computer.  The second event changed the result for one of the announced third place teams.    Thanks to the individuals doing this today.  Here are the results:

Congratulations to all the winners.  Next week's format is a four man team 1,2,3 Modified Stableford counting best score for par 3's, best two scores for par 4's, and best three scores for par 5's.  Points awarded will be -1 for net bogey or higher, 0 for net par, 2 for net birdie, 4 for net eagle, and 8 for net double eagle.  Please be sure to sign up for next week's game.  Don Holec will be running the tourney next week as I will be traveling to Pebble Beach to see the last round of the U.S. Open.  I will also get to play Pebble Beach on Tuesday and Spy Glass Hill on Wednesday.  I am sure what you see on TV watching the US Open will not resemble the way I will play those courses.  See you in two weeks.
