Today’s Interclub Tournament was held at Prestonwood CC (Hills Course) in Plano. I believe everyone enjoyed themselves. We had 64 players (30 players for SBR and 34 players from PW) in the field today. The tournament included two formats – Match Play and Team Play. The Match Play was limited to ten 2-man teams (5 teams from each club) in a winner take-all competition. The balance of the field played in the Team Play, 4-man team using 2 low net scores on each hole.

Before I give the results, a couple of reminders:

For those that played today, I have a copy of your scorecards and they will be turned in to the Hills Pro Shop for handicap recording.

Next Interclub Tournament

This was our fourth interclub tournament of the year. We have six more tournaments left. Our next Interclub Tournament will be on:

Ø Wednesday, June 30, with Heritage Ranch at home (@ SBR – Hills Course) – Cost = $30 (Only – we will have a lighter fare lunch).

The sign up sheets are in the SMGA Binder – so sign up early and mark your preference of Match Play or Team Play.

The Interclub Tournament formats will be same as the first two – Match Play (limited to 10 players as 2-man teams from each club), and Team Play (4-man team, ABCD pairings, 2 low net balls on each hole). The cost includes tournament fee, cart rental, and lunch.

The Match Play competition was won by Prestonwood CC by a 3 – 2 margin over our SMGA team. All matches were competitively played by our teams and both clubs should be congratulated – well done!
