3-24-10 Gentlemen,
It was a fun day with a very competitive format today with 46 men that signed up to play.  Thanks for your participation.  Five teams finished within one stroke and seven teams within 1.7 strokes.  The teams only had a half stroke differential handicap on the 10% team format. First and second teams tied with identical gross and net scores.  It took the 6th scorecard playoff hole to determine the winner.  That is close. That was pretty well matched teams and it was interesting having to use a minimum of four tee shots. Unfortunately, this format requires full 4 man teams.  Next  week is an individual tourney format that I will explain a little later.
Here are today's results:

TEXAS SCRAMBLE(with minimum 4 tee shots from each player):
1st Place Don Weiland, Tom George, Bob Bowler, Jim Crabbe Gross/68 Net/60.1  / $22 each*

3rd Place Don Holec, Larry Robicheaux, John Anthony, Jack Garner Gross/68/Net/60.6/$11 each
4th Place Tony Yunt, Bill Uhlemann, Dale Conrad, Tom Klein Gross/69/Net/61.0/ $5.50 each

Hole #21 - Mark Sternfels - 3'-10"

Next week's format on March 31st is the Up, Middle, Back Tees Individual Tourney Format.  Those who normally tee from the White Tees will use Gold(UP), White(MIDDLE), and Blue(BACK).  Those who are eligible for the Gold Tee Program will use Red(UP), Gold(MIDDLE), and White(BACK). The Pairings will be A/B/C/D if we have enough entries.  There was a lot of discussion of the rules on the Men's Grille and it is obvious some of you have played a very similar format but with a little different rules.  THE PREVIOUS HOLE's NET SCORE DETERMINES THE NEXT TEE, ALWAYS.  If you score a net par, the next tee is from the MIDDLE location.  If you score a net bogey or higher, the next tee is the UP tee location.  If you score a net birdie or lower, the next tee is the BACK tee location.  The first hole you play will be from the MIDDLE tee location.

For example if you normally play from the White tees, and score a net birdie.  The next tee shot will be from the Blue(BACK) Tees.  If you then score a net bogey from the Blue Tees, then the next tee location would be the Gold(UP) Tees.  Net Par always will put you to the Middle Tee on the next hole.  I probably will have to limit no more than 2 guys from East Texas in a foursome or they will never figure this one out.  Please sign up and we will have a lot of fun.  See you next week.
