2-3-10 Gentlemen,

It was a great day for those that played. Although toward the end of the round, I heard a lot comments about how cool the temperature was getting and I agreed.

Today’s tournament format was a 2-man Alternate Shot. This format puts a lot pressure on each player to hit quality shots for his partner’s sake. Unfortunately, we are not professionals and sometimes we are lucky just to hit the ball, much less a quality shot. Anyway, I thought the format was good and the pace of play was great. Everyone completed their round in around 3 ˝ hours. Not bad for a bunch of old hackers.

I have a request from a member of the Hills Golf Committee regarding golf carts on the course. It has been notice that some players drive their golf carts up pretty close to the green to putt. The Golf Committee request that golf carts be restricted to no closer than 50 yards from the green. As you approach the green, please return your cart to the cart path as you approach the Green – no exceptions. Thanks for your cooperation.

Next Week’s Tournament

The format for the next tournament will be a 3-Club Monte, 4-man team, ABCD pairings, and two low net scores on each hole. Players are allowed to use only three clubs of their choice plus a putter. Make your club selection carefully as these will be the only clubs you can bring with you on the course. Anybody got a small carry bag?

Denny Wiseman will be back next week to run the tournament.

Regards,

Larry
