11-24-10  Gusty showed up today with twenty three golfers. I witnessed several funny but not particularly good for windy golf situations... leaves blowing into the cup, leaves blowing into the line just as a putt was struck, aluminum cans blowing out of the golf cart , wind blowing me off balance a couple of times. Nevertheless, it was a fun 80 degree day in November. Overnight tomorrow after we are stuffed with turkey, dressing and pie we will see freezing weather. I want to welcome a brand new member Marc Lowrance. Get to know him. He is a very good golfer. He took home money on his first day.

The December 15 Tourney will be our special tourney that we will serve a free lunch for you as we fellowship before we break for the Holidays. You will only get a free lunch(and this is not a political promise)if you are signed up to play on that day. Just a reminder to call the Golf Shop if you are not going to be able to make the tourney by 7:15 AM on the day of the tourney you have signed up to play. According to the by-laws, you can be charged the five dollar tourney fee if you do not cancel. The format today was a two man shamble and a late cancellation also disallowed another player from playing in the tourney. Although the player sent an email to Don Weiland late last night, the Golf Shop was not aware that for good reason he would not be there.
