1-27-10  Gentlemen:

Thanks for a good turnout today with some iffy weather.  I think everyone enjoyed playing today.  Our pace varied today from 3 hours and 40 minutes to 4 hours and 35 minutes. Please remember to bring your score cards in before proceeding to the parking lot to allow us to get the results out sooner.

The learning curve is still steep for the inexperienced tournament director.  I learned a lot today about the issues around four man team shambles when we do not have full teams(my team included).  Due to two last minute pull outs today for very legitimate reasons, we had three teams with only three players.  In the future, if we ever play this format again with sudden changes in full teams, I will probably switch to a four man team with two low net scores format enabling a blind draw to be fairly utilized.

Please remember Tommy and Susan Steele in your thoughts and prayers in the recent loss of their daughter.  Congratulations to all the winners. Here are today's results:

Please sign up in the Golf Shop for the February 3rd Tourney in the green SMGA binder.  Next week's format will be 2 Man Alternate Shot with A/C and B/D pairings.  Larry Robicheaux and Ken Carithers will run the tournament next week and I will see you on February 10.
Stay bundled up the next couple of days and snuggle with your loved ones.
