We had a beautiful day for golf. Not too hot, not too wet, not to cold.

I will try to be brief. Sign up sheets for our year end awards banquet are in the Green Book in the Golf Shop. You DO NOT have to play in 5 tournaments to be able to attend the Banquet!!! All paid up members are welcome to attend at no charge to the member. You do have to pay for your guests dinner which is $24.00 per guest. You DO have to play in 5 tournaments or Interclubs to be eligible to play in the Club Championships. As of today we still have 12 members who HAVE NOT played in 5 tournaments. If you don't know who you are go to our website at www.smgahills.com and click on POY and the rest is self explanatory. Today's "Shot of the Day" was by Robert Wantland at hole #11 at 2'6 1/2". Good shot Robert!!! All members will play from the WHITE TEES during the 2008/2009 Club Championships. Don't forget our General Membership meeting will be on September 23rd at 7:30 am to vote for our new officers for 2009/2010. Dues for the upcoming year 2009/2010 will be due by September 30th. Ken Carithers will be collecting the dues starting with the Wednesday September 2nd tourney. Dues will remain $25.00 for the upcoming year.

If you have any changes to your information please let Ken know so we can update our roster. If your dues are not paid by September 3oth you will not be eligible to play in our weekly tourneys or Interclubs until you are current.

Club Championships will be on Wednesday and Thursday September 3oth and October 1st. Year End Awards Banquet will be on Thursday October 1st at the Hills Course Banquet Room. Don't forget to be generous with your change or dollars for our Golf Shop Staff and Outside Operations Staff when you sign up on Wednesdays.

Drop your money in the Large Red Can so we can give a nice gift to the Staff at the end of our current year. Enough said, now for our winners:
