7-15-09 Gentlemen,

Wow! It was hot today and some of our golfers really played hot (some low scores were posted). At the same time, we had a couple of our players that had to quit before their round was complete due to the hot conditions. We must be careful not to get overheated out there. Since today’s format was an individual event – there was no harm done.

However, I would like to bring something to your attention. If the weather forecast is for hot temperature conditions and there is the possibility that you will be unable to complete the round, then you should not sign up for the tournament – especially if the format is some type of team play. In team play, if you quit before completing your round then your entire team could be disqualified. Please do not let this happen to your fellow players and team mates.

The good news is that the temperatures should begin to moderate on Friday and the forecast for next week is the mid 90’s. So, excessively hot temperature should not be a problem for us next week.
