We had another great day to play golf and lots of fun was had by all participants. Again, Suzy Finn and I would like to thank everyone that played in this year’s first SMGA / RLGA Tournament. It was a great turnout as we had 92 players scheduled to play; unfortunately we had two no-shows that left two groups with only three players. The sad part about this (the no-shows) is that we had two other players that would have liked to play, but were turned away due to a full field of players. Remember to cancel early if you are not able to play. Per our no-show policy, those two no-show players will be charged the regular tournament fee of $5.

Pace of Play

Forgot to mention this at the luncheon today, but everyone did a great job of keeping up with the groups in front of them. Everyone completed their round in less than 4-1/2 hours. Keep up the good work. We can play at a reasonable pace of play, shoot a decent score, and continue to have fun. Today’s tournament is proof of this.

Next Wednesday’s Tournament

Next week’s tournament will be our second Interclub match with Prestonwood Country Club. The tournament will be here and will start at 9:00am. The format for the tournaments will be a 12-player match play and 4-man team Better Ball. When you sign up, indicate on the sign up sheet if you would like to play in the match play or 4-man team format. Refer to Don Holec’s emails for more details on the Interclub event. Don’t forget to sign up by the cut off time - Monday at noon – or you won’t get to play.
