2-4-09 Gentlemen, It was a cold and delayed start to today tournament. Start of play was delayed until 10:30am, but that did not dampen the spirits and enthusiasm of 36 SMGA players. Thanks to all those that played. Pace of play was again very good, with all rounds being completed in under 4-1/2 hours. This is GREAT!! I have a request from a member of the SBR Golf Committee. At the completion of your round, carts should head directly to the nearest cart path and follow the cart path back to the Club House. Some carts were seen driving down the fairway and rough on the return trip to the Club House. The fact is that carts should be parked on the cart path while playing the green. If the carts are on the cart path, then they should stay on the cart path for the return trip. Thanks for you cooperation as this will take some of the traffic off the already stress fairways and roughs. This was done by the Hill Pro Staff and their computer system once the scores were posted. And finally, we had one player whose score was disqualified because he recorded only his points for each hole and not his score. In the future when playing any type of individual score game, remember to record your actual score on each hole.
