10-28-09 Gentlemen,

Thanks to all that played today under tough course conditions with cart path only, tough wind, and a crowded course with two tourneys!  We had 24 that played and filled all the open slots having turn away one of our players(Sorry Charlie!) Oh yeah, did anybody see the sunny day we had expected? We should not expect a repeat of this time of play in the future.  I know I will look forward to only having one tournament on our play day next week.  I want to give a very special thanks to Johnny Gray who did an outstanding job getting both of these tourneys organized and completed.  Thanks also to the second shift as Chris McCord had to pitch in as these tourneys "lingered on."

I hope everyone still had a lot of fun.  The TIN CUP'ers improved by defending the home course as well, but Eldorado took home the TIN CUP based on yesterday's play on their course.  Next week we should be all reunited for the Four Man Team Scramble Format with each player contributing at least 3 tee shots.  Please sign up in the Green SMGA Binder in the Pro Shop.   We want to welcome our newest SMGA member, Larry Lanning, who joined us for the first time today.  We will do a better introduction of Larry after next week's play.  Congratulations to today's winners!
