9-17-08 Gentlemen,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who attended our General Membership meeting this

morning and voted for next years (2008/2009) slate of officers. Jerry Obenour will update the membership

on the newly elected officers soon. I would personally like to thank all the members for the cooperation that

has been extended to me in the past 2 years as Tournament Director. I know that the same courtesy will be

extended to our new Tournament Director who will officially take over on October 1st but will begin his duties

at our next Tourney on Wednesday the 24th. We had another beautiful day for golf. Temperature was great,

no wind, rain or snow. We had 54 players sign up, one member signed up twice (initials Larry Elsey), 2 members

cancelled early, one member signed up yesterday afternoon and cancelled this morning at 8:00 am. 3 members

signed up yesterday and 2 of those members were not able to get into the game. One member thought he had

signed up but was not on the list. Bottom line we had 48 players who were able to participate in the game and

vy for the prize money and CTP game. As our year comes to an end I would like to remind the members who

haven't joined our Hole-In-One Club that we still have openings and our pot is up to $280.00 Dollars. The dues

are $5.00 and I will be available to collect them next week at our Wednesday tourney. The money will stay in

the pot until we have given it out to a winner or winners and we will then start a new pot. We had two (2) 1st time

CTP winners today. Ray Matthews and Mike Maus, who had the "Shot of the day" at # 21 at 6' 2". I am sorry that I

had a Senior moment and forgot to leave the CTP proximity at hole #2. 2 members told me they had holes

in one and 10 were closer than 2 ft. It was necessary to split the money among the 3 verified winners of the

other 3 holes. Don't forget to sign up for next weeks Wednesday tournament and at the same time if you are eliglble

to play in the Club Championships sign up and also don't forget to sign up ASAP for the year end Banquet which

will be held at the Hills Course dining room on Saturday the 27th. Jerry Obenour will advise us of all the particulars

next week. It was nice to see long time member Axel Swanson this morning. Keep Bob Flinchbaugh in your prayers

as he is recovering from recent surgery. Also, keep our other members who are Sick, Ill or Injured in your thoughts

and prayers (John Greathouse, Alan Cohen, Don Lambert, Bob Donley and our members wives who are also sick).
