6-4-08 Gentlemen,
What a great day!!!! Not too
hot, not too cold but we did have a little wind. As a
matter of fact Jack Garner 3 putted 5 greens and
4 putted twice, Tommy Steele 3
putted 7 greens and both of them blamed the
wind!!!!!. Dave Mehall claims he had a 95 yard wedge
on his 2nd shot to #23 and
still had a 105 yard 3rd shot!!!! Do you think the wind
had something to do with it? The wind didn't bother
Charlie Hooker on #16 when he
holed out from 100 yards for a GROSS EAGLE 3 !!!! and was
"The Shot of the Day" A tip for fast play:
When on the green and you are
the 1st player to hole out, pickup the flag and be ready
to replace it when the last player holes out.
On Hole #17 the area on the
right side of the fairway (TREES and DEBRIS) which used to
play as a Water Hazard is no longer a Water
Hazard according to our Head
Professional Matt Mitchell. If you hit into that area and
find your ball you may play it. If you DO NOT
find your ball play it is
deemed to be lost and you should return to the tee and
play another ball, and you are hitting 3. We had 1
member
withdraw after 4 holes
claiming he didn't like playing 5-somes. His playing
partners said he had an 8,9,7 and a 6 to start. I won't
name
him but his initials are Al
Diaz. We had 1 member sign up on Monday to play and then
didn't show up. He didn't call or let anyone know
he wasn't going to be here.
