4-30-08  Thank you to the 30 SMGA players and 30 Hurricane Creek players who participated in today’s interclub.  This is probably a first, where both teams had exactly 30 players…and everyone showed up to play!  Thank you, thank you, thank you.  While it was a bit on the windy side, we had a lot of fun.  Hope you did also.  Our thanks to Jim Stalder (Head Pro) and Hurricane Creek restaurant staff for a wonderful event.

 

I gave all the scores from today to the Stonebridge Pro Shop so they will be posted today before handicaps are calculated on May 1^st.  I will do this for all away interclub matches.

 

For bragging rights and winner of the Stonebridge/Hurricane Cup, Hurricane Creek defeated Stonebridge by a combined total (from both events) by a total of 48 ½ to 44 ½.  Stonebridge won at home on April 16 by a score of 35 ½ to 12 ½.  Hurricane Creek won today by a score of 36 to 9.  We’ll have to work harder to win the Cup back next year!
