4-2-08 Gentlemen,

 

What a nice day for golf!!  Thank you to the 51 members who showed up and played today.  I hope that you all enjoyed competing against

each other in an individual basis, I know I enjoyed it immensely playing with 2 of our 90 members who are all great guys!!!!  Welcome our

new member Mike Toelkes who just joined the ranks of Retirees and will begin playing with us next week.  Speaking of next week we are

hosting the The Ranch Ladies Golf Club next Wednesday in a Scramble format.  The Ladies will team up with us as 4-Somes.  We will

have our regular Closest to the Pin game (Last year the payoffs were $30.00 per hole).  We will also have our regular payouts for team

winners.  Please do not forget to sign up early, again we need even 4-somes so 1st to sign up will be 1st to play, don't be left out of the

game.  Next week I will be in the Community Grille Room NOT The Men's Grill Room, at 8:00 am until 8:45 am to collect your $2.00

contribution to the Ken Carithers and Bruce Cox "Closest to the Pin Fund".  The Restaurant will also be serving us our weekly specials

of Burgers & Chicken Sandwiches with Fries and a Beer in the main dining room.  As always you can order from the menu if you like at

menu prices.  Please plan on staying afterwards for the presentations and comraderie with the Ladies.  Today's shot of the day was

Dennis Croysdale's 3' 8" at #8.  Howard Hazlett had a nice Birdie at #8 when he hit his 1st shot into the front trap, skulled his second

shot out of the trap which hit the closest to the pin marker at the side of the green which then richochet'd into the cup for a 2!!!!!  Nice

shot Howard!!!!! (Howard is so humble he will deny it happened if you ask him about it) Today's rounds of the day were by Larry Robicheaux
