What a great day for golf!!!  The weather was great, the company was great and the Game Format was AWESOME!!!  We will

see how many times we can repeat this format in the next 2 months.  All welcome our newest member to the club Jim Olsen.

We had a spirited debate in the Men's Grille Room after golf regarding the Hills Course rough.  Several members asked the group

what their opinion was of the rough and what can be done to get management to cut it down some.  Bruce Cox answered questions 

as a member of the Hills Course Golf Committee and was joined by Matt Mitchell the Head Pro at the Hills Course.  I hope that all the

questions were answered to the satisfaction of the members.  Lets be patient and see what transpires in the next month before we 

go off and do or say something we will later regret.  Let's give Matt, Roby and his Maintenance crew a chance to get it back into 

fun shape so we can all enjoy the game like we are accustomed to at the Ranch.  Speed of play was very good today, most groups

finished in 4 hours and 15 minutes.  Keep up the good work.  I will again publish "Ready Golf" tips in the near future to help us all 

keep up with the groups in front of us not behind us.  Shot of the day goes to Morris Paulk with his shot at #11 of 1' 9".  Mike Merrill 

had the CTP money in hand for 10 seconds until Al Diaz jumped up and screamed "He didn't win it, Morris was only a foot away"

Morris filed a written protest through his Legal Aid attorney Don Mayo, a review was conducted and it was determined that they

were correct.  Morris was so excited he couldn't speak.  Mike was muttering as he left, "Morris ought to learn how to write numbers down"

John Chapman and Ken Carithers gave us all a chance to win some CTP money by not playing today.  Thank's guys we appreciate it.
