Thank you to the 51 players who participated in today's Tourney.  I hope you all a good time.  Today's format allowed all of us to participate in the game and made us all play a game of strategy.  We had 48 of 51 players participate in the Closest to the Pin contest and the winners thank you for your contribution to their pocket.  Didn't hear many complaints except from the usual suspects about the same things.  Bill Bannon was the loudest complainer today, complaining that "Birdies" wouldn't stay on his card, he said they wouldn't stay on his card when he posted one!!  Don't forget to sign up for next weeks tourney. We had a new member join our club today.  Let's all welcome Tony Yunt to the SMGA when we see him.  We also promised him if he continued to play we wouldn't make him play with Bill Jewel anymore.  He was thankful and stated he would be back!!!   John Chapman & Ken Carithers were observed walking out arm in arm and laughing and saying something like "this is like taking candy from babies" while they put their $25.00 in their pockets!!!  I heard some more excuses from the Members:  "This is my first time out since my bypass operation"  "It's my first time out this year"  " The golfers on the other tee box were talking and I couldn't concentrate on my shot".  We had another act of honesty from one of our members.

After the results were read, recorded and finalized, Pat McGhee stepped forward and requested that his team score be revisited and checked for accuracy.  It was determined that a mistake was made on the team's final score and it was necessary to remove the team from their 4th place finish and they ended up out of the money.  Scorecards were further reviewed and below are the correct winners.  Sorry for the mistake and thanks again to Pat for his honesty, I'm sure ALL of us would have done the same thing, wouldn't we??  The mistake was not made by the team scorer.

We finished in less than 4 hours today and we thank all of you for playing ready golf and making the game enjoyable for everyone.
