12-19-07 Gentlemen,

 

We had 57 members sign up for the last tourney of 2007.  5 members cancelled prior to Wednesday, 3 members cancelled on Wednesday morning and 1 member showed up Wednesday morning wanting to play.  We were able to accomadate the member because the game was an Individual game.  2 members withdrew because

of injury.  Don't forget we will NOT have SMGA tourneys on the 26th and the 2nd.  Don't forget to sign up for our tourney on Wednesday the 9th of January.  That tourney will kick off our "Hole-in-One" contest for the SMGA on Wednesdays, Club Championships and Interclubs @ HOME ONLY.  If you haven't joined the club bring an extra

$5.00 so you don't miss out on a large payout if you score a hole in one ($180.00 as of 12-19-07).  Our shot of the day was 4' 10" by Ed Trapp at #8.  I overheard Gene

Whalen, Ken Carithers and Ed Trapp, all with 3 CTP wins, laughing as they left saying "Ha Ha John Chapman only has 2 CTP, Na Na, Na Na, Na Na".  Fellas please don't wake a Sleeping Giant whose game is going thru some hard times!!!  John you need some NEW irons to help you out.  Spend the $1200.00 you won last year during the SMGA year.  Don't forget that the CTP game is still only $2.00 a week and is an optional buy in.  Phil Wheat tried to pull a fast one on me while I was busy collecting the money.  He laid $1.00 on the table and was scurring out briskly when Dennis Croysdale stopped him and said "Phil it's $2.00 not $1.00"  Phil replied " I know Dennis my wife only gave me $1.00 today and I was hoping that Stan wouldn't notice, why don't you mind your own business!!!  Don Holec separated Dennis and Phil from a physical altercation and paid for Phil's entry into the CTP contest.  Don't forget that January thru April will start our Winter Rules/Preferred Lies Rule (SMGA By-Laws, Article VI Tournament Play)  Go to our website @ www.smgahills.com and read our By-Laws and familiarize yourself with them so you can take advantage of our member rules and changes.
