Sorry for being late on the results. Our game this past Wednesday was a Two-Man Net Shamble. I don't believe that a 5 to 51/2 hour round for some groups was warranted. It's a 2 person team game and if one member is out of the hole he should be picking up his ball. I don't know what to do or say anymore about our slow play. We aren't playing in the U.S Open fellas, we play for a small amount of Shop Credit. Those of you who are slow players (You ALL know who you are, if you don't call me and I will kindly let you know) should make a conscious effort to work on your speed of play. This will be the last time that I will bring this subject up because it appears that no one is paying any attention to my tips or making an effort to speed up. As far as I know none of the 3 or 4 of you who are chronic slow players are old or handicapped so there is no excuse for ANYONE to be that slow. I have been advised by some players that if they are paired up with the same notoriously slow players again they will beg off and not play on Wednesdays. That's the last thing that we want to happen because we are a social Golf Club and should be having a good time when we play. Some of you lower handicappers and fast players should be assisting our slow players with their speed. Show some intestinal fortitude and speak up, don't just complain after the round because by then it's too late. Don't forget to sign up for our November tournaments. November and December sheets are in the book. Enough said!! Please say a prayer for all of our Members who are Sick, Injured and those who are recovering from Illnesses, also say a prayer for our members who have lost a loved one this past year.
