11-28-07 Gentlemen,

What a great day for golf!!!  50 golfers signed up, 3 cancelled prior to Wednesday, 43 participated in the CTP contest and one Lonesome Cowboy didn't realize he had signed up and didn't show up early enough to play with the group.  If you aren't sure you have signed up call the Golf Shop and ask or call me on Monday or Tuesday and I will let you know.  "Shot of the day" was by Terry Haines on # 11.  Please welcome Two (2) new members to our club, Chip Marz and Vic Dwyer.  We have a total of 81 members paid to date.  Oldest is Morris Paulk (83), youngest is Joe Allan (55)  Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't Joe look older than Morris???  Looks like Ken Carithers doesn't want to come in second this year in the CTP contest!!!  He was overheard telling Dennis Croysdale on the way out "John Chapman and Gene Whalen are has beens, they are history, I'm not taking any prisoners this year, look out for Ken!!!!  Wow "I hope we can all get along this year"  Next Wednesday I will start collecting $5.00 from any member who wishes to participate in the "SMGA HOLE-IN-ONE CLUB"  Beginning with our 1st Tourney in January any participating member in the "SMGA HOLE-IN-ONE CLUB who shoots a Hole-In-One DURING and while participating in our Wednesday play days ONLY (Club Championships & Interclubs at the Hills Course included) will collect the total pot (CASH) that has been collected to the date of the Hole-In-One.  Once a Hole-In-One pot has been paid out to a winner, a new pot will start to be collected.  If we have Two (2) winners (not likely) on the same date, the pot will be shared.  Once a member has joined the "SMGA HOLE-IN-ONE CLUB" he is in "THE CLUB" until a winner is declared.  NO REFUNDS will be dispersed at any time. Mark Sternfels ( a winner the last 3 weeks) was mumbling and babbling as he left the course "I don't know why I play this game, I'm a lousy golfer"  Don Holec, Al Diaz, Bill Bannon and Don Mayo were all Red Faced and Sheepish while accepting their winnings after working all Summer to raise their handicaps to a ridiculously high number, they should be ashamed of themselves!!!  Now for the winners:
